Colonia is a UNESCO world heritage town, which means it's pretty! Oh, and full of history and beautiful colonial buildings. There's also a beach on the Rio de la Plata (no surfable waves) and some tasty restaurants.
Our favorite activity: buying a bottle of Uruguayan vino tinto from the market, borrowing some glasses from our hostel and sitting on the rocks overlooking the river at sunset.
So we stayed a few days, wouldn't you?
